ps 3 sacd problem - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,
I was wondering id anyone is having any problems with thier sacd's since the latest update?I only get the back channels now.I'm running ps 3 80 to an Onkyo 605 via hdmi.

No problems on the PS3 since the update. Checking out a Telarc sacd Multichannel Sampler 5 disc right now.

What setup do you have 5.1 or 7.1, do you have the extra surrounds on? or have it straight?

hi,
I have a 6.1 and evrything was working before this so I know its setup right.Weird seems like evry time my brother comes over and I want to let him hear what sacd is something goes wrong.Thanks for the reply.Evrything else works fine bd,cd's,mp3's

go through your settings. sometimes things get reset after an update.

hi and did that twice.I know its weird so I was just wondering if it was just me or is anybody else having this problem.

did you happen to do any rewiring of your speakers since the update?

but
I went back in the settings and clicked off evrything I could and it left me
with 2 channel and a 5.1 channel and now it works. Go figure

I have never owned a SACD until recently. I bought a couple on Amazon.com. My Ps3 is coupled with an Onkyo TX SR605. I have heard these CDs many times, but with the 5.1 track I truly am hearing things I have never heard before. I am really impressed with the 5.1 SACD tracks. Great......another potential addiction.

@OP:

Have you connected a display via HDMI to your Onkyo?

If so, have you tried it with the display off or disconnected?

(BTW, for many PS3 SACD issues you can check the PS3 SACD FAQ)
