Target selling Commando and Predator Early - Blu-ray Forum

Just as a heads-up, it looks like Target is selling Commando and Predator early. I saw the below post in another thread and to be honest, didn't really believe it but Target is just across the street from BB so I stopped by to check it out. They didn't have a place for them in the regular blu-ray section but the new release section did indeed have the blu-ray of Commando and Predator. The bad news for some is that they were $34.99. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to get them early.

Urgh -- I would have loved to have gone in this morning (Target about a minute from my place) and picked it up early but the price is horrific.

It's bad enough on amazon at 27.95, but add another 6 bucks on top of that...just can't do it.

Yeah, I expect most will feel that way especially since they're catalog titles.

I hear the transfer isn't that great either, but I'm waiting for more people to chime in on that.....

I'll continue to wait until I can get them off Half.com for a fraction of what they are going to ask for it at release.

Yeah, I'm not getting Predator (yet) but that'd be the way to go. That's a whole other title if you go with anyone else but Fox...

Thanks for the heads up, though. I might be more tempted if I hadn't already got two titles this week, and one of them was around 35 bucks, but it was an import so that makes it a teensy more understandable...

Seriously? I tried to use imageshack and freeimagehosting but each kept timing out on me. I haven't used supload in a while. If you're not kidding, I definitely want to change the link.

Edit: I don't see it but my ad remover may be taking care of that. I think I even have it set to remove adult content type ads.

I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it.

Seriously nice haul on BDs -- you got enough disc to throw a lot of hours at your player.

I look at it this way.... Close Encounters and Blade Runner are GREAT quality.... regardless of the extra discs etc. they're worth the $35..... but I heard the PQ/AQ of Commando/Predator was sub-par... so that is my bone of contention until I hear otherwise.

I reduced the image size and compressed it more so I could attach it locally since apparently, some of the upload services have questionable ads.

I heard once that the ads you see on sites like that (that use ads to make back some of their money from offering hosting, etc.) utilize cookies on your machine to determine what ads they throw at you. I'm not sure...I really don't spend much time on adult pages so...who knows?

It could just be that particular image hosting site that chooses to use those ads. That happens frequently too -- adult sites are very ready to get their stuff out there, so they'll use just about anyone who'll let them.

Now, back to trashing Fox for excessive price on catlogue titles... *Shakes fists at those SOBs...*
