Default War - is it worth a blind buy?

I'd like to pick this up from the Amazon B2G1 sale, but have read some mixed reviews.

I like movies like unleased, transporter, hero, ran, pretty much anything action with some fighting, but it seems people were sorely ticked off at this movie.

Your opinions?

Never seen it.... but it doesn't look like my kind of movie. There is enough time before the Amazon deal ends, maybe you should rent it/borrow it really quick? If you have Netflix etc. so you don't have to pay to rent it, otherwise, I say blind-buy it, and trade it here later if necessary.

War is a disappointing effort in terms of PQ, storyline, acting, an action sequences. The rest is great

I didnt mind it, but it didnt think it was great, and worthy of a buy. Blind or otherwise. I'm glad I watched it once though.

But definitely rent if you can.

only worth having if you're a true jet li fan, other than that it was sort of disappointing.

Very disappointing movie, I'm glad I rented it or I would've been pissed I wasted money. I'd urge caution in blind buying this

If you get the opinion of a dozen people who have already watched it, is it really a "blind" buy?

I listed a few movies I enjoy, hopefully the informed bluray community with like tastes will weigh in for me.

My last blind buy was No country for old men, and I'd have to say it had it's moments, but the ending reminded me of the soprano's ending...

Since it is one of the few blu-rays to have PCM 7.1 (like 3:10 to Yuma, The Descent & Crank), I would recommend it for those wanting to get the most out of their 7.1 setups. And also to Jason Statham fans (I think Jet Li fans might be disappointed in the lack of action and emphasis on story).

ditto....there was a lack of jet li action.......it was a good movie and judging by your tastes you probably would like it, as for owning i doubt it. i bought this on a blind buy and it wasn't as good as i expected but it wasn't like i was flipping out like why did i buy this. i have watched it maybe 3 times but there are many more movies i would rather own.

i would advise giving it a rent first.

I liked it and it had a nice twist that I didn't expect. Anyway, I'm happy with the purchase (and it was a blind buy).

I thought it was pretty unimpressive . . . the "twist" at the end was stupid, and the rest of the plot was pretty simple. The action sequences weren't that great, especially the extremely lackluster showdown between Statham and Li. You'd think since they hyped this up as an action guy vs. action guy movie, almost modern day Stallone vs. Schwarzenegger (but nothing would ever be that awesome), that the final showdown would be monumental. Not so much. I've had better play fights when I was drunk. I'm extremely glad I rented it.

A tremendous letdown considering the action talent they had on board. The 'twist' wasn't worth the whole movie. I almost blind bought it and man am I glad I only rented it.

Worth a Look to me. Bought it from mjentertainment for $17 and sold it because of the stupid ending.
