Unhappy "Monk" actor Stanley Kamel found dead

Just saw an article on Yahoo about the death of actor Stanley Kamel, who played Adrian Monk's (Tony Shalhoub) psychiatrist Dr. Charles Kroger. According to Access Hollywood, Kamel died of a heart attack at the age of 65. He will be missed, as he was one of my favorite characters on "Monk". To view the article, here's the URL:

He was an amazing actor. Sad to hear another actor died. Very terrible.
I wonder how this is going to translate into future Monk episodes. I am sure they'll have a "mourning episode" where Doctor Kroger is killed and Monk is saddened (again)

This was very surprising and sad news to see. In whatever I had seen him in, I thought that he was a good actor.

I am curious to see how this is written into the show also. The Monk character is extremely dependant on Kroger.

and then Monk will have to go through an adjustment period with a new Shrink. Actually they could also stretch it out a bit and cause him to have a lot of problems finding somebody else who will see him.

Oh man, this sucks. He was a great actor, and has been a staple of TV drama's for almost 40 years. He's also played doctors VERY frequently... I wonder if he had any real-life medical schooling? In any case, it's a loss. I can only imagine the myriad ways that Monk's writers can work around this.

That's really sad. And he was relatively young. 65.

It's kind of sad that no one else is really talking about this. He was a pretty talented man. And boy is Monk going to have problems now (I mean the character...).

He definitely will be missed...
