Default Bad Film Discussion

I'd like to dedicate this thread to the discussion of horrible movies. Everybody has experienced a time wasted on a bad movie. So what was a horrible movie that you had the unfortunate pleasure of watching?

Please state the name of the film and what year it was released. And give details as to why you think the movie was bad. Please do not resort to a two word explanation. Feel free to talk about more than one film.

The Cat in the Hat: (2003), I'm trying to figure out something that I liked, but it's a real struggle. The script is terrible, adding a lot of awful and juvenile jokes. The acting is horrendous, the set design is an eye sore, and the makeup is just absolutely horrifying.

Well one of the absolute most horrible that I unfortunately watched was titled 'Honor', it stars Jason Barry, Russel Wong, & Roddy Piper.
The movie is very slow paced to the point were it leads you to boredom. I found the characters to be dull and the main story was..irrational?
It had some good choreography but the film was extremely boring, with really nothing happening until the last 20 mins or so. It was released in 2006 and then again in a different title, Fist of Rage. Isn't that the same title of a video game?

I've seen more than my fair share of bad movies. Truth be told, I like a lot of them; I've always been intrigued by Uwe Boll's work (God knows why), and I've recently learned to enjoy the fine cheese of films like Troll 2, Birdemic, The Room, etc.

About a year or so ago, I compiled a list of my top 100 least-favorite films. It can be seen here:

http://letterboxd.com/althestrange/l...vorite-movies/

and here:

http://www.alswritingblock.blogspot....vies-part.html

Big highlights here are:

BloodRayne 2: Deliverance: The first BloodRayne was pretty bad, but this sequel has nothing really going for it. It's boring, it's got a crap story, and the filming is terrible. I at least like the first movie for being bloody and showing some skin; this one is just dull.

Blair Witch Project: I don't care what anybody says, this film is annoying as frakk. The characters are stupid and unlikable, the plot goes nowhere, the filming is terrible. I didn't even get the big twist ending,
[Show spoiler]since the brief dialogue about the witch sending people to stand in the corner was totally forgotten, so I was all like, what's up with the guy in the corner? Pretty stupid ending, imo.
It may be the godfather of the found-footage genre, but I think we've improved on things since (Chronicle being my current fave).

Hard Gun
: No real plot, terrible filming, ripped-off the soundtrack from GoldenEye from some reason, and Tony Jaa is only in it for like two minutes. Oh, but if you watch it with English dubbing, it's an instant comedy classic!

I Could Read the Sky: Pretty much 80 minutes of some old guy rambling on about something. The actual imagery is just random shots of stuff, no real focus on characters or storytelling or anything.

Murder By Television
: Ridiculous story, poor mystery, terrible acting, and extreme stereotyping of characters that absolutely would not fly in today's PC world.

...and, so many more! If I revised my list today, I'd definitely have to add Apollo 18, Hirokin, Oszombie, Birdemic, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Deadgirl, Dead Mine, White Zombie, and oddles of others.

Man of Steel(2012)- After the Krypton opening the film fails on every singel possible level in every single way. made me so angry and bored

The Order (2003?)- awful, boring, cruel waste of time Heath Ledger Movie

Alien Vs. Predator (2004)- poops on two franchises with one PG-13 crapfest

Jurassic Park III (2001)- Still remember he crushing depressing disappointment this was. One of the laziest big films I have seen.

Sound of My Voice - waste of a netflix rental - boring

When I saw the first Bloodrayne film as a kid I thought it was over the top, I then rewatched it on DVD two years ago and I know think it deserves to be on this post . I have the second movie in my collection but I still didn't watch and I don't think I will anytime soon

Another movie that I like to ad to this post is titled Dead Man Running, a 2009 release. I bought this movie at a store with a bunch of other Good titles because I was intrigued by the plot. The plot deals with 2 British actors that I have never heard of having to pay back a debt of millions to a criminal boss whos played by..50 Cent. I thought that might be interesting, I'd get to see a action-thriller of sorts. And the movie absolutely sucked.

50 Cent appears only for 15 mins in total, and these guys run around the UK trying to get money, including one very bad 'undergroud' fight scene. Talk about a very very bad film.

"A Film With Me In It" the trailer for the film looked like it could potentially be a really good film, un fortunately it is so inward (Dylan Moran's self hypochondria) that it would be the first film I refused to finish, just frippen b*llocks. very much a film that affected me in a negative sense by one man alone . Too heavy!.

Fortress II
. I loved the first film, the sequel is unbelievably bad!.

The only film that I can truly call bad is The Canyons.

I will admit that I am biased to many films because I dislike an actor, director, style, or plot, but this film truly is a train wreck.

It was the most irrelevant, random thing ever made. I'm not sure how or why it was given the okay to be made.

Death Proof

Chicks start yapping for 30 minutes. Some stuff happens. Second group of chicks introduced and they start yapping for 40 minutes. I want Kurt Russel to kill me instead.

Dark Knight Rises

Man shows up with three hooded people. Brilliant CIA agent waits until they get 3000 feet in the air to take the hoods off. Bad things happen. Every scene after that is more ridiculous and stupid than the the one that came before it.

The Incredibles - I hated the fact an animation was so overtly political. I was squirming in my seat I was so irritated.

Agree with Dark Knight Rises - Nolan tried to outdo himself and I think his technique as a film maker just unravelled in front of the viewer to the point we saw the bones of nothing important.

Adam Sandler's movies are so bad. There are no redeeming qualities in them for me. On a good day, I can tolerate Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer, but he is just terrible.

Lol that made me laugh, I actually kinda liked the wedding singer. And your opinion on The Water Boy?

I hate to say it, but I gotta agree. I saw it at the theater twice, and enjoyed it pretty well. But, now that it's on cable and home video, I've watched it a few more times, and, honestly? It is the most boring superhero film that I've previously been able to enjoy very much. There are things about the entire trilogy that just don't sit well with me, though I have a hard time saying exactly what those things are. Something.....intangible.

Batman & Robin - In the first 30 seconds we get two close up shots of the butt of two men. Still would have felt tacky and uncomfortable if were women's butts. So many awful one liners and puns. Overcrowded cast. Campy to the absolute extreme. George Clooney wasted as Batman. Somehow someway the villains start to play icehockey with a large diamond and Robin joins in. Probably the worst film Ive ever seen.

Funny, that's what I LOVED about Deathproof. The women at the beginning were so over the top annoying, I was rooting for Kurt Russell/Stuntman Mike to kill them all, and do it spectacularly. I assumed that was the feeling that Tarantino was going for.

Avengers has one of the worst openings to a film ever. It is incredibly stupid and mind-numbingly dull. Also, I love Sam Jackson as a actor, but he is terrible in the film and looks so goofy with that dumb eyepatch. I really hate films where everyone talks like a smart-ass teenage girl. Whedon destroyed the Alien Franchise with that godawful fourth film, now he wants superhero movies to go back cheesy drivel.
