Jeez.

Some of the people commenting in this thread seem to believe bad movies just don't even exist. Or worse, that it is some kind of crime if we don't all just buy copies of them.

Those who want to buy 10,000 B.C. on Blu-ray can be my guest. But it's not going to change how I feel about the show.

I probably wouldn't be able to keep myself from laughing out loud if I saw a copy of that movie in one of my friends' video collections.

For lovers of really bad movies, here's a nice idea. Petition Warner Bros. to release a Blu-ray 2-pack of 10,000 B.C. bundled with Battlefield Earth!

I don't care when someone doesn't like a movie, but insulting one's intelligence for liking a movie is pretty narrow minded.

Yet name calling those who dislike a film is open minded? Ok then.

Or was this suppose to be complimentary?

A film has to be intellectually stimulating or life changing to be good I guess. It's also "cool" to not like big budget and big name movies these days.

I can't wait to see all of the negative reviews for Indy 4, Dark Knight, etc.

I would love to see the Blu collections of some of these wannabe critics here.
After all no one actually called anyone an idiot for liking the movie. They implied it and there are plenty of implications in your post (and others who agree with you). Seems a bit hypocritical to me....

since 1999:

ice age
resident evil
balde 2 (for some)
panic room
tears of the sun

Looks like you're putting a lot of words in people's mouths.

Judging by your brief post and thread history, it's clear you're someone with a personal vendetta here of sorts.

Why not keep that off the boards and do yourself and all of us a huge favor?

Worst post ever.

I don't even know where to start. Live Free or Die Hard was released in June. Very very few of those fit the genre of movie that Wicky was talking about and those that do were either surprise hits like The Matrix (which was released on the very last day of March) that benefited from no competition or were crap that studios released in March for the very reason Wicky stated. Wicky never said that all good movies are released in June, July, or December.

There is no way that 10,000 BC would have been able to compete with The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Indy...

Oh and you have to be kidding about calling Starsky & Hutch and Ultraviolet good movies.

Welcome to the boards I guess....

Maybe its just me but that was a freaking hilarious movie...

Ultraviolent wasn't epic or anything. Just ur run of the mill futuristic movie with bland plot.

I liked it for what it is. I doubt anyone will claim its movie of the year or rank it in the Top 100 of all time but it was OK.

Maybe you should take your own advice and look into the budgets of all theses films you just named. Also Live Free or Die Hard was release in July. I didn't find the budgets for two movies, but has you can see not a single movie you name cost over $100M to make.

Budgets
lock, stock and two smoking barrels £800,000
office space $10M
the matrix $63M
erin brockovich $51M (estimated)
memento Budget: $4.5M
Ice age $59M
resident evil $33M
balde 2 $55M
panic room $48M
tears of the sun $70M
dreamcatcher $68M
hidalgo $78M
starsky&hutch $68M
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind $20M
ultraviolet $30M (estimated)
V for Vendetta $54M
zodiac $65M
ice age 2 $80M
300 $60M
premonition $?
and meet the Robinsons $?

10,000 B.C. $140M

I saw it, spent 30 bucks just to see it, I was sitting down watching it and in the first 5 minutes had a call out back to work, I left my drink and all :P then I went and saw it again the next day (sat) so inbetween the 2 times to see it once, it cost me a little over $30

but what the hell, I enjoyed it, and plus I get paid 2 hours OT for a call out (which took only 10 minutes to complete)

Default 10,000 B.C. coming June 24th!

It's region free, like all other Warner releases for those outside of the U.S.

What do you mean? It's a new release, and it has the same retail price as I Am Legend. No surprise there.

Many folks didn't like this one, I didn't see it at the theaters so it's gonna be a rental for me first then decide if it's worth to buy.
