Using an external HD with the PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

Is this possible? if so any tips?
Just tryed using my WD MyBook VIA the USB and got no results at all

Needs to be FAT32 format..not NTFS.

Also has anyone used a mem card for a W810i on the PS3? It only ever seems to find images.. not tracks or videos..

Did you try hitting Triangle instead of X on the memory stick and selecting 'View All'?

Also, while using 'View All' I've made the mistake of forgetting that you have to be under the right media type (Music, Photo, Video) on the XMB for media of the same type to show up.

I use a HDD of the capacity of 250GB works perfectly.

Make sure you're putting your music in a folder called MUSIC and videos in a folder called VIDEOS. Otherwise the ps3 might not see them.

Ok ive sorted the music and videos.. but I really CBA to format my drive to FAT32
