The Orphanage Canadian release? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know if The Orphanage will be released in Canada on the 22? I've been watching the Future Shop and Best buy websites for a week now and there is still no listing. I hope I don't have to wait for Amazon to ship it.

yeah it comes out on the same day, best buy and futureshop websites kinda sucks for blu release dates, esepcially for horror/foreign films

America and Canada operate as one market for BD's. You should know that.

More or less true. New Line was tributed by Alliance here, we are still have Alliance distributed title and Warner Title don't come out at the same time here. Bonnie and Clyde isn't not available in Quebec right now, as well as Run Lola Run and a couple of Sony Catalog title..

Not really.

Miramax, The Weinstein Company, New Line Cinema, Focus Features, Dimension, Rogue and more are all distributed by Alliance Atlantis in Canada.

Not all movies share the same distributor. For instance, Memento, Silent Hill, Run Lola Run and more are all distributed by different distributors in Canada other than Sony.

Beer League is another movie that hasn't been released in Canada yet.

Thanks for the responses, hopefully it will be on the shelf on Tuesday. If not I will have to order it in, Pan's Labyrinth was one of my favorite in the past few years, hopefully this can compare to it!

I remember that it took a while for Last Samurai to be distributed in Canada last year. It was just after Christmas, and it was not to be found in Canada so I just ordered it from Amazon.com.
