Default PS3 Wireless Internet Help

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I've had no problems connecting to my wireless network with my pc, 2 laptops, wii, and mobile phone.

But for some reason I get the following message when I try to connect on the PS3

A connection to the accsess point
could not be steablished.
Check the security settings for the wireless lan.
(8013103E)

I am of course using the correct password and security settings.

Any ideas?

You need to make sure you forwarded all the ps3 ports. Also you might want to turn the media server thing off it caused me problems.

What encryption type?

WEP?

WPA?

Any MAC level filtering? Using 802.11a on your WAP? Dump some details, bro. . .

the first question comes to mind, is that if you have updated your PS3 to the recent update 2.30. because it does that whenever you have to update you won't be able to sign in. second, if you do have the latest update restart your router, unplug for 10 seconds and plug it back in. hopefully will get started, if they both don't work, then you should contact the Sony customer support line, and they might be able to tell you what is the problem.

I had a strange occurrence with this recently also. I tried to restart my router and for some reason the PS3 stopped seeing it altogether. If I tried to test the connection the PS3 would give me that same message as the original poster. I tried having it scan for my router and it wouldn't see it, although it could see the networks at a couple of my neighbors houses.

Finally, I had to hold the reset switch down on the router, then redo all the settings to get it running again.
