Does anyone have any info on future Sopranos Blu-ray releases? It's been nearly 4 years since Season 1 was released now.

I would guess that it won't be.

Unfortunately, HBO didn't feel the sales were satisfactory at the time for Season 1, so they haven't elected to release 2-5.

I hope they do change their minds and put out a Complete Series set, since the show is still viewed as one of their flagships. It's the only reason I haven't picked up the DVD set.

Considering James died recently, I'm surprised they didn't take that opportunity to start putting out a complete series set. It would've sold like hot cakes. Personally I haven't seen it yet but I'm hoping it gets released on blu-ray soonish so I can

I think they released a Season 1 set at a time when the people who are buying bluray boxsets all felt that they would be better off waiting for a Complete Series set.

I know that was my thinking. And it continues to be.

I will be watching seasons 2-to-5 on a HD network. I'm sure they will look far better then the DVDs.

Yep, that's my thinking. Held off on purchasing any of the Blu's in hopes that HBO would put a complete series set together. Come on HBO, what are you waiting for?

Any particular reason why so many of the classic HBO tentpoles still aren't out on blu-ray?

Sopranos is kinda just the tip of the iceberg with HBO's unreleased material.

I would imagine the sales just aren't there on their catalog material. Which is a shame, since I hate owning content aired in HD on an SD DVD, but them's the breaks I guess.
