As a loyal customer who has purchased the last FIVE seasons offered on BD, this feels like a major slap in the face from Fox....the fact that they have now done this with multiple shows I also collected (Always Sunny, League, Modern Family) is like a giant kick in the crotch....and the probability that they will offer them in HD but only as digital downloads or through streaming services is like a knife in the back....

Needless to say, Fox is on my s-list....this isn't like WB with Two Broke Girls or Mike & Molly (not a show I watch but just another example), where they release the first season and the sales just are not there for them to continue....these are shows they have been releasing for YEARS....the least Fox could do is a MOD BD release, as they have done with some of their lesser selling DVD titles (Cleveland Show, Bob's Burgers, etc.)...

I enjoy the series enough to watch the reruns on all 25 channels that show them and I would get them all on BD but since it looks like those are dead I will just keep watching on netflix for now on. Even the first season DVD set uses double sided discs. GAH! at whoever makes these decisions.

Default Bones: The Complete Ninth Season - Pre-order

I pre-ordered the Season 9 Blu-ray (before Amazon withdrew the page for it) and it still showed as scheduled for delivery for September 16th until this week.

It now shows as "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." Usually when this occurs, I would also receive an email telling me that I would need to approve the delay but did not in this case.

Given the indications that it will be DVD only I'm thinking it won't ever show, but I'll certainly post if it magically shows up on my doorstep!

I've enjoyed my Bones seasons on blu-ray, and recently picked up season 8, in anticipation of getting season 9. I stopped buying DVDs a long time ago, and don't plan to start again now just because Fox doesn't support the format. Maybe I'll pick up season 9 on DVD once I come across one dirt cheap/used - but, maybe not.
