I've been waiting for this one since I got my blu ray player. Pity its Twilight Time, if they want to be a serious company the 3000 copies thing needs rethinking, it may have been credible that Sony insisted on that limit but MGM/Fox and Film 4 as well?

Never saw Rollerball but doesn't it share a similar plot with 1987's The Running Man, and even Hunger Games?

Man I'll never understand why any true fan of any particular movie won't buy it if Twilight Time is releasing it! I get that people don't like their business strategy, but to miss out on getting a movie altogether due to it seems really ridiculous and childish.

it's called having principles...
it's friggin ridiculous to be paying almost $35 for a catalog title with usually no extras....
funny thing is I would have no problem paying $20, many people here want catalog titles for $5..... I don't mind paying a reasonable price for movies, but this is just WRONG....

Because they take dearly beloved movies and put a limit on them and when that limit runs out it costs an arm and a leg to own the movie, if you're late to the party when it comes to ordering it, as I was with "Fright Night" and "Christine."

Also they charge $10-$20 more than what the disc should really go for, and they really don't do anything special for the films they acquire, they don't produce new special features or anything. It's like a double edged sword for blu-ray fans to support Twilight Time. I absolutely hate them because they only do 3,000 units for a film, they hold up the rights to films so other studios can't get them and do a release, and they charge more than Criterion.

If you get a film's rights and you get them for what 3 years? You should have to have that disc in production for all those years, I mean why wouldn't you want to do that? Twilight Time isn't getting a kickback from scalpers on eBay who bought copies and sell them for upwards of $300.

All joking aside, I never said I agreed with their practices either, but I can at least appreciate their efforts for bringing titles that other major studios just don't feel are worthy of getting a blu release or won't give the time of day to.
