I think it goes in the Game Data Utility folder. That may not be the exact name for it, but it's something close. It's under the game section of the XMB.

Once you download and install it that's it. You won't see any special folder under games. I've only downloaded a couple of add-ons with the most recent being last week's control pack for Lair but this has been my experience.

Yeah, I've downloaded several things (games, add-ons, etc.) and I would like to know what happens when I try to install a larger hard drive or if the current hard drive crashes. Can I re-download using my account? If so, how?

They add into the game, obviously. You just launch it like usually.

You download the expansion, it's added as a file in your list of games under 'Game' and you select it to install it. It installs to the Game Data Utility folder, if there's already content in that folder to do with the game usually it merges into one file.

When you play the game it automatically integrates any content from the Game Data Utility folder.

Theres 2 ways to do it. When you back up your current drive before you install the new one you can either delete stuff off of your drive to cut down the time of putting it all back on the new one (use the backup utility function under system in the xmb) or you can just back everything up and everything will be put back on the new drive (use a fat32 formatted drive for backup). I would go the latter route and back everything up. It results in a longer wait when you restore everything, but if you have a lot of downloaded content it will be much faster then redownloading everything.

If you do decide to redownload everything when youre in the PS store at the top by your cart there is a little link that says downloads. It will have a list of stuff by date and you can just click on the dates to see what it was you downloaded. From there you can redownload stuff.

I put a 320 gb drive in my ps3 a few months ago and everything went flawlessly.

I used this thread and it contains all the information you should need.
