Haven't seen this film but it's Walter Hill so it's a definite blind purchase! I almost bought the import - thank goodness I held off. Who did Shout license this from?

Ooooh....nice. I wonder if they'll licence the new interview with Walter Hill from the recent UK release?

Shame it's not a TT joint though, 'cos I'd happily take on a bunch of hillbillies in a Louisiana swamp to get an isolated score for this flick.

Outstanding! This is has been a well-loved movie of mine since childhood, and I am so glad that Shout Factory is at the helm.

Never seen this, but it being a Walter Hill movie also puts it on my radar.

I hadn't gotten around to importing the Second Sight release. As i said in the Scream Factory thread, I'm down for this one.

It would be great if Shout were able to utilize a new transfer for their release, as the one used by Second Sight is a 'dated' one according to Pro-B, who gave the video a corresponding three-star review.

Uncommon Valor is Paramount, and currently under license by Warner Bros. No dice.

My local public library has the soundtrack CD of this paired with the score to Johnny Handsome, so if you like it that much you might want to see if it's available to buy somewhere.

Also, it's Cajuns in this film, hillbillies in Deliverance

Well, he didn't say he wanted to see it from Shout, just in general. So in that case, it doesn't matter which studio controls the rights.

Blind bought The Driver from TT and I really liked it. Might have to do the same for this. Thank god TT didn't get it, too expensive.

Well, I have been looking for the score for some time but found nada. Nearest I can find is 'Music By Ry Cooder' which has a few tracks from Southern Comfort, and a quick search on google reveals nothing about this JH/SC team-up. Has it got music from both films on one disc or is a separate CD for both?

Cool. It can only be an improved on the DVD which looked decent but could use some TLC.

I'd be happy with a commentary track as well though I doubt that's likely to happen from anyone (Powers Boothe and Carradine together again!).

It's been a few years since I borrowed it, but IIRC it was a single disc. I'll probably be going to that library some time in the next week or so, I'll check to see if they still have it.
