Angry Onkyo 605 And Ps3!

I Have The Samsung Blu-ray 1400, Which Lights The Dolby True Hd And The Dts-hd On My Receiver. I Was Having Some Compatability Problems With Avp-requiem, So Played It In The Updated 2.30 Ps3. The Ps3 Is Set To Bitstream, But My Receiver Just Said Dts Rather Than Dts-hd Mstr. Am Using All 1.3 Hdmi Cables. Sony Is Clueless! And Ideas Why It Doesnt Show Up On My Receiver Like The Samsung Does? Thanks!

Your PS3 needs to be set to LPCM output to get the Lossless track, It can't Bitstream DTS-HD MA, you're only getting the DTS core when you bitstream with the PS3.

correct it can't bitstream the advanced codecs. It decodes them internally and outputs it as LPCM.

I Guess Thats The Same For The Dolby True Hd Also. My Toshiba A-30 Also Sends Everything Lpcm. Since The Format War Is Over I Have Alot More Blu-rays Than Hd-dvds. Youd Think Sony Would Have Had A Better Answer Than Its Your Receiver!

yeah, same for TrueHD, shouldn't be an issue though, it either decodes in the player or decodes in the receiver *shrug, still get it luckily.

as for Sony, LOL, that's tech support for you, mainly clueless
