Default Sony SXRD Aspect Ratio Help Needed

I have a Sony SXRD KDS 50-A2000 rear projector, and I'm hoping one of you with a similar SXRD set can assist me with some aspect ratio issues that have cropped up. A friend was fiddling with the settings on my TV, and now the aspect ratio seems a bit weird depending on the aspect ratio of what's being viewed.

Would someone with a Sony SXRD (or similar LCD set) please tell me the proper screen settings? I prefer viewing broadcasts in their original aspect ratio, so I don't like stretching stuff like 4:3 images to fill the screen. I just want to correct the settings again, so I don't have to constantly fiddle with the aspect ratio.

I greatly appreciate your help with this. Thanks.

The aspect should be set to full.

if that does not work I know there is a aspect setting on my cable box that will stretch and zoom the picture.

Are you sure? I thought "Full" meant stretch the image to fill the screen.

Full usually keeps it at OAR, I always leave mine on Full

Okay, I'll give "Full" a try. Do you also set both "4:3 Default" and "Auto Wide" on as well?

Thanks.

I think you want "Auto Wide" set to on and your "4:3 Default" should be Normal.

This should auto fit the programming to the screen and set 4:3 programming to its OAR

Cool. Thanks guys. I really appreciate your help with this. I suspect my friend switched off 4:3 default or something, so I'll check it when I get home tonight.
