Default Sony Bravia display aspect ratio issue HELP NEEDED

Howdy all!

I own a Sony Bravia KDL-46X3100 LCD display and i've got a bit of an issue with the display aspect ratio.

I've found that the display aspect ratio on the television is a little tall - meaning that what should be a perfect circle on the tv screen comes in as egg-shaped - like the picture is stretched-out on the vertical axis.

I know this is only a minor issue but it can be a little distracting with images coming through on the screen looking noticeably taller and stretched out than they otherwise should be.

I can't find anything in the display settings menu that can remedy this. My current display settings are:
Wide Mode: Full
Auto-wide: Off
Display Area: Full-pixel.

I keep it on Full Wide mode because Wide Zoom is too extreme in stretching out the picture on the horizontal axis, and the zoom cuts off most of the outside part of the screen.

Any help with this issue would be hugely appreciated!!!
