The extras alone are worth the purchase.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes from this past Sunday, so I'm looking forward to this eventual release, too. The extras are always quality and plentiful.

Couldn't agree more. While I haven't had the time to watch much of Season 2's features, I did with Season 1 and was very impressed. This show is actually probably the strongest of the HBO shows in that area.

Anyone know why this didn't come out? Has HBO decided they'll release it right before Season 4 now?

The UK release will come out on January. I guess this will follow a similar pattern unfortunately.

As long as it's coming to blu-ray I'm fine with the release date. I got really worried when I saw the release date was removed for the blu.

I mean, this isn't Fox with a track record of abandoning BD releases....if HBO releases a show on BD, they keep releasing on BD, no need to be concerned...

They didn't give Enlightened Season 2 a blu release and when the original date for this season got pulled, I started to get worried.

Yes but Enlightened was canceled shortly after the second season.

Like the person said right above you, Enlightened was cancelled after the second season. They probably felt there was no reason to bother with a Blu-ray release again given that fact. Otherwise, name one show that HBO has stopped releasing on Blu-ray.

Anyways, this thread is about Girls. HBO isn't going to stop releasing Girls on Blu-ray.

Just picked this up. HBO went cheaper this year and released it in a standard eco case which is odd.
