Hi,

I just recieved Short Circuit which was a bit of a surprize because I don't think it's comming out till the 20th.

I have never seen this movie before. (I hope I like it.)

I tend to agree. It's going to be typical 80s fare, and if you've never seen it before, I gotta think those movies might not be your thing (unless you have a natural appreciation for them).

For those of us who grew up watching it, it's fantastic! Do hope you like it, though.

Considering the bargain price of the title I'm guessing they did nothing but up the resolution for its release. Hope I'm wrong as I wouldn't mind getting it.

Definately not

There is an HD master for this movie that was done for the SE DVD

I know of exactly TWO Blu-rays that have been uprezzed because the movie was made in SD (Yukikaze and 28 days). No film based movie has been uprezzed, nor is it likely any of them ever will be

Also don't go nuts about the PQ. 80's movies have a ton of grain by their nature. This is not a flaw of the BD encoding.

That said, I hope they did a great job on the PQ to represent the source material properly.

My copy was shipped over the weekend. Hope to get it tomorrow or the day after. Loved this film when I was little. I've not seen it in years, can wait to revisit it again.

I just wish they'd kept the gorgeous DVD cover art. Obviously they wanted to keep the "look it's Wall-E" thing going

Hello,

Was out for a while getting some lunch.

It's from "image" and is labeled as region A so I don't think it's region-free.

It says it has DTS MA

by the way... I like silly old 80's movies... so I think it will be ok.

Anyway,.. I won't mention where I bought it from since the broke street date but I will say I may not have ordered it in the first place if Tower Records didn't have it for like $10 or something.

the only part of the movie i remember is something like "hey lazer lips, your mommas a nowblower" (is that clost to how it went, its been 20 years since ive seen it)

Yeah, that's pretty much it: "Hey, Lazer Lips! Yo mama was a snow blower...pfffffft!"

Almost as good as, "Oh, Stephanie, nice software! Grrrrr!"
