Every time I see a commercial for this film, I'm reminded of this episode of The Simpsons.

It'll be interesting to see if this does any good at the box office since they are completely ignoring the comedic tone of the movie in the commercials.

Either way, I'm looking forward to the Blu-ray release since I don't watch much in the theater.

Can't wait to finally own this movie on Bluray! I have been a fan of the books since the series started and had been hoping for a movie and then it finally happened but sadly didn't get a chance to see it in theaters due to a family emergency. Can't wait for next month!

Just finished this, and I am so letdown. I really wanted to love it. The writer of Heathers and the director of Mean Girls teaming up? How could you go wrong? This isn't anything like either of those movies. This felt like a super-sized CW pilot. These "vampires" wear black all the time like the characters on a CW show, and the action is so cheap looking like on the CW. Zoey Deutch is incredibly likeable though I hope she gets better roles. Everyone else sucks. I hate to be that person but, WHY ISN'T THERE ANY HOT GUYS? There's none whatsoever.

I wonder if the Waters brothers messed this up on their own, or if the Weinsteins made them change it to the point of it being so bad it's good? Diablo Cody should've been hired to write the script, it would've been much more entertaining. This movie needed her over-the-top teen dialogue.

Despite how letdown I am, I'll get this when it's cheap enough.

Saw this in theaters as a lark, only positive is that the main girl joined my list of waifus after being able to do the best with some pretty awful dialogue, the british girl wasn't as capable.

Hope you like it. I was seriously let down and really thought it was going to be in my wheelhouse. The story execution was just poor, and there is some very questionable acting (the whole movie looks really cheap). Tough to believe the same person who wrote Heathers penned this. The lead girl was good so I hope she finds a much better movie next time.

It's entirely possible I'll end up agreeing, but I will always watch something I decided long ago that I was interested in. If anything positive has come out of all the negativity, it is that it has lowered my expectations.

Oh don't get me wrong, I was being sincere in saying I hope you enjoy it. I realize my post was so negative it may have come off as snarky. Not my intent. I am in the camp with you, I generally try to watch everything because it's always great to find joy in a film everyone else pans. I even seem to take special pleasure in watching a movie I love (Land Of The Lost, Bullet To The Head) knowing at least it found it's audience however small in me.
