Nightmare Before Christmas Blu-ray - August 19 - Blu-ray Forum

I was in the Suncoast Video today in Vancouver, WA and they are taking reserves for The Nightmare Before Christmas SE on DVD and Blu-Ray.

This is all I know. I did not reserve it as I have heard nothing about it. She said it was legit.

The trailer is on Narnia. Looks "good". The "technology" is not where it was with Corpse Bride, but this will be a very special disc.

I saw the trailer on the Chronicles of Narnia Blu Ray too. The PQ was 'meh' at best

Agreed with the PQ on the trailer on Narnia. I was underwhelmed, and I own Corpse Bride.

Film is a bit old, any improvement PQ or AQ over the DVD and I will be happy.

One of my all time favorites.

I just dont see Aug 19th as the release date. If you watch the opening trailers on the Narnia disc it clearly states on dvd and bluray Fall 2008. August is still considered Summer. Suncoast is just putting a date to start taking preorders. Same thing happens with video games they put a fake/estimate date so they can start taking preorders. I see this coming in Sept at the earliest. IMO

I have a feeling that the disc itself will look better than the trailer did.

Some scenes seem to be Blu, some look zoomed in from DVD...
I'm guessing they hadn't finished it yet when they announced it for the trailer cut.

This will be an automatic, day one purchase for me. It's a fantastic film, and I've always been enamored with this one. This is 'must own' territory for my collection, and one of my most highly anticipated Blu-ray releases for the year.
