Default Holy cow! House is friggin stunning!

Monday comcast (I know...) came out and got me set up with a dual tuner HDTV box (My TV is a 47" LG LCD). I was at work when it was installed, but some one else was home. Its a great little toy. Anyway, I got home around 830 PM and House was on. After finding fox HD on the box, I had to switch around a couple times to see the difference... Let me say that House looks pretty good on regular cable even sitting right next to the big TV, but in HD is was stunning! Beautiful. Channel 13 really looked like crap compaired to the digital signal, even if it was being crammed through a piece of coax thats connecting the tuner.

I noticed something really cool during a close up of House's face near the end of the episode, I could see his pupils dialate and contract. It was really cool and something I don't think I could have seen on a regular set.

Too bad I only got to see perhaps 15 min of HD glory... I want more! Can't wait for more House, 24, Prison Break and Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles

If you like pupils dialating then you'll definately be a fan of the tv show Lost which is also available on Blu-Ray and broadcasted in HD.

I got my new TV and plugged in the antenna wire for the first time in 4+ years about a month ago. I really can't say that I missed having TV as there isn't anything interesting on. But...I do have to say that CSI: Miami is the best looking show on broadcast HD.

For non-cable shows, I think American Idol has the best PQ I've seen. Anyone else agree???

Actually, that's the same channel. It used to be called Discovery HD Theater, but now it's simply called HD Theater (they dropped the Discovery, so as to not be confused with the standard Discovery HD Channel).

Fox doesn't split their main channel into subchannels, and they use 720p instead of 1080i. This allows them to have far fewer compromises when it comes to compression

I was against 720p for broadcast, now I fell it's the right way to go. I look forward to comparisons with the Blu-ray of terminator

I have to agree those fly by shoots of the building look really nice in CSI Miami

What do you mean, i get FOX in HD? Is it just your area? It might not be a dish issue, since i can't get CW in HD, but that's because it is not offered by the local office.
