Should I wait?? - Blu-ray Forum

I have some Amazon money burning a hole in my pocket and I have had The Matrix collection HD DVD in my Amazon Cart for a long time.

Is it worth getting the HD-DVD version or just holding out until it is released in Blu Ray? I don't think it has been announced that it will be.

If I should get the HD-DVD is it better to get the Ultimate or Complete collection? Only $8 difference in the price.

Any opinions? Thanks.

My question for you is why buy something that you may not be able to play later? What if your HD-DVD player bites the dust? I'd wait for the Blu.

I still have beta's that are working just fine.

I wouldn't want the whole collection anyways, maybe just the first one..... I'd use the cash for some new blus.... lots of good titles coming out soon!!!

Ok, but they are not making anymore players and won't support the hardware forever. I'm also with Beta Man and will only be wanting the first film on Blu-ray. I'd wait man, it just seems to be a better idea.

You should buy them. In fact, you should buy up all the HD-DVD titles you've been on the fence about, and when you get the stimulus check from the IRS you should buy even more.

I'm sure you'll watch them all dozens of times before the BD's are out, and when they come out with better specs on BD you can rebuy them so that way you can really stimulate the economy.
