A quick note of thanks

To Slec and Crackinhedz and everyone else who answered my questions. I finally got the time at home to set up my Onkyo 605s with my PS3 and DirecTv HD box. Because of all the info you've provided and the questions you've answered in the past, it took me about 30 minutes or so to get the speakers hooked up, the HDMI cables plugged in and all put back in the entertainment center. Turned it on followed all your instructions, did the speaker setup and all that. Popped in Independance Day (first one I grabbed that I saw True HD on) popped it in, and low and behold when I hit the select button ... right there on my screen was DTS HD MA... and it sounds absolutely amazing.. Thank you VERY much for all the help in the past, Everyone here has been more then willing to help with even the most silly sounding questions. You guys rock !!!

So, you are enjoying the lossless experience? Good choice of first disc. Back in the day, that was my first laserdisc and my first experience with Dolby Digital. That was a great ride and the BD just absolutely leaves the LD and DVD in the dust. Hope you get tons more enjoyment out of your system! And you are right, there are a lot of great people on this forum.

Love the sig. Back in my first year of college I got my EMT-B and ran as a volunteer until I realized that I was losing vision and ended up getting my RP diagnosed. I really miss it sometimes and wish I had had the opportunity to finish my IV Tech and work with it for a while before I had to give that up. My favorite line from those days was "never do anything you don't want to have to explain to the ambulance crew."
