What has been the most expensive disc you've seen out there.
A recent trip to Barnes and Noble revealed a copy of Spiderman 3 for $43.99 (you can get the trilogy for that price if you search around). Share your surprising finds. |

Well the most expensive Blu-ray ive bought was Robocop when it first came out. I paid a whopping $39.99 for it at Best Buy. I dont know what the hell I was thinking... I think it was the fact that I couldnt find it anywhere else and I grew up LOVING that movie as a kid and wanted it so badly. NEVER again will I pay $40 bucks for a Blu.

I know you can import anime from Japan, like Ghost in the Shell, on blu-ray, and that usually runs $90 BEFORE import prices. It will be closer to $110 when all the taxes/customs/shipping and such are added on. But I suppose that depends how it is shipped.
Still, I have been very very tempted to get it, but so far have decided to wait to see if/when it is released in USA. |

That reminds me... I think there is an anime SERIES on Blu-ray in Japan, that runs at about $400. I am not kidding. It is a box set. Let me see if I can post a link.....
http://www.amazon.co.jp/フルメタル・パニック-初...pd_sbs_d_img_5 Here is one for ~$300. http://www.amazon.co.jp/AIR-Box-...sbs_d_title_15 And another that is not in the store but the cheapest "new & used" one is ~$600!!! No kidding! http://www.amazon.co.jp/う...pd_sbs_d_img_5 And again... This one is almost $400. I could go on. there are LOTS of them. Be glad you do not live in Japan. Plus, shipping still applies. And trust me, if I could, I would buy all the ones I listed. But I can't afford that or anything close to it. Last edited by CptGreedle; 05-19-2008 at 04:57 PM. |
