Default Since Hollywood can't come up with anything orginial. How about redoing Cloverfield?

Not really a remake, but how about movie of the same night from a different perspective like the Military. I think Cloverfield is a good movie, but I think it could be better if it wasn't made to look like it was shot from a camcorder.

could you have missed the point any more?!
Every other giant monster movie out there is already told from the perspective of the military. Cloverfield was taking the opposite approach and showing it from the point of view of regular people on the street.

But now you're basically saying "it would have been a better movie if it was just a copy of every other giant monster movie"

Ugh. I can't stand that 70 minute, barely a movie , hyped , forgettable little flick.

They already did make it in a non found footage way and the made it twice as long and impressive and it's the Godzilla movie from 1998'.

Exactly. Do it from the military's perspective and you can even have the original 4 run into the story briefly inside the mall when that chicks chest explodes, and then again at the end with the helicopters.. It could be a really cool movie.

They would have to have another character who just happens to be carrying a camera around, the military with their helmet cams would be one way to do it instead of having another group of 20 somethings that just stepped out of a party.

I get it, but I am saying Hollywood sucks right now so why not make it like a normal movie. I never said I hated the original. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit to where I think it would be great to see the same night done another way. The ending was left open.

Cloverfield was far from original. And only if the remake threw out the shaky cam.

Throw out the shaky cam and film it from another perspective like a normal movie.

I also said not really remake, but the same night from a different perspective.

Hollywood sucks right now, but I'm sure your excited about Goonies 2 and Karate Kid 2. Cloverfield is an awesome monster and it deserves more then being just part of a love story.
