Default best wireless keyboard/mouse?

I'm going to be hooking my computer up to my TV and want to make sure i'm getting a good wireless keyboard/mouse. I've seen some reviews where the signal can't reach further than a foot. I'll be roughly 5-6 ft away. Any good suggestions? Should i post this somewhere else also? I looked and didn't see any part of the forum where i could put this.

Any advice is much appreciated

Go with blue tooth devices and you won't have that issue.

I've been very happy with my logitech wireless keyboard, and haven't had that issue, I've sat 10 feet away from the computer with the keyboard and it worked.

I would recommend bluetooth as well.

On top of that, bluetooth laser mouse as well. you can sit as far as you want and people/funitures wont block the signals at all.

I have a BT laser mouse for my laptop and its great. Planning to get BT set when I have a desktop setup to the TV. (depends on the sale on Memorial day. )
