Keyboard and mouse support? - Blu-ray Forum

I don't suppose if I felt like setting myself up where I wanted to play something like Resistance: Fall of Man with KBM it would be as simple as me plugging those into two of the USB slots on the PS3 and being off to the races, would it?

Sadly, I see no KBM mapping options.

When I get a chance here, I'm just going to plug 'em in and see what happens. I don't think it can harm anything.

Hmm...should be interesting.

BTW, what are you guys using for headsets? I don't recall seeing an official headset from Sony (except for the PS2 headsets).

blutooth headsets work with ps3 games like resistance.
im using the motorola i have for use with my cell phone

but they wont work with ps2 games. you need a wired headset (logitech) for games like socom3.

I use a keyboard for Internet browsing and typing messages in Resistance. I use a standard Logitech USB headset for voice communication. Does anyone know if Ridge Racer or madden are voice chat enabled?

The developers left the option out of the game because they fealt in would give an unfair advantage the m/k.

Ut2007 is the first console game I hear will support both configs.

They're right.

I'd be toasting ass right now with KBM on this thing. The controls are good, but I'm definitely not anywhere close to the kind of performance I'm used to having in FPS's.

ut '07 will sell the console for me (not that it hasn't already though), especially with m/k support.

i remember back in college (in thedorms especially) when we had the original UT. we easily had 30-40 people fragging the hell out of each other simultaneously. give me the ability to do that again and i'll be loving life.

Ut '07 will be cool. Will it have any voice chat features? Is it going to be a PS3 exclusive?

Im phyched for it. Game made with unreal engine 3.0, just like Gears of War, But with fast paced action. There will be no equal.

Does anybody know of a bluetooth keyboard and mouse I can use with the PS3? I have tried a couple but without success. The Sony people don't have a list of recommended bluetooth keyboard & mouse to use.

If you find a Bluetooth keyboard that works with the PS3 let me know. The Apple keyboard doesn't work. Most people that I know are using usb keyboard with a RF hub for wireless.

For me personally a big bonus of KBM would be the ability to play RTS on a console, and with C&C3:Tiberian Twilight out this March, it would be the best solution. EA have publicly stated that X360 development for this title is proving difficult as nothing can compare to the speed and accuracy of a mouse in RTS.

No X360, quite a big blow, considering the weight of the title, though UT was originally made for GLIDE and OpenGL, which is basically what the PS3 will e running, for some reason Direct3D still can't handle any UT games properly.

I found one. I'm using the PS3 right now with the Logitech Cordless Destop MX5000 Laser. Bluetooth is the sh**!

I'm looking for a wireless keyboard to work with ps3. I assume only bluetooth keyboards will work- any recommendations?
