There is no word on the DTS HD track being lossy or lossless. Is wouldn't be the first time the German track is DTS HD MA and the English version is DTS Hi resolution. In those cases they use the term DTS HD. If you are planning to buy this in Germany, wait for reviews.

It also may occur that the German subtitles are forced on the orignal audio.

If it has DTS HD MA in English and the subs aren't forced, I may pick up the German version.

Martin Scorsese can rejoice. M6Vidéo took great care of his film and book a Blu-Ray edition of a full dress. A picture of what the publisher had done with the enemy Intime, encoding AVC / MPEG4 made and wonders if some scenes in low light reflected leave a very slight noise, the bill simply remains generally excellent (even if the image can seem a little too smooth by time, not enough texture). The image has a magnificent dive, further enhanced by a depth of field that provides a wonderful spectacle at large. Apart from a vertical stripe on the film at the end of the first battle, the master is impeccable. The color management is exemplary and we are enjoying a burst of first choice. The compression knows when to forget and he skilfully emerges from viewing a beautiful fluidity ambient. One thing is sure, Scorsese's film found its brio

The PQ on the U.S version is reported to be only a mild improvement over the DVD.

for the german version it was written above that it was region free! and for the french versio, we can not be sure for now, but i can say that the big majority of french blu ray are region free, those which are not are for example fox ones! like usually..

That says nothing. Many Blu Rays which are stated to be region locked aren't.

It's a pity it only has High Resolution audio. I think I will go for the French release with DTS HD MA.

The German BD is reported to be Region Locked and features DTS-HD MA.

L'ennemi intime (also M6 video) was region free, I hope this edition of Gangs of New York is also region free.
Is there a comparison of PQ anywhere ?

Do we have screenshots for the french version yet? I might have missed them, there are several GoNY threads going on at the same time.

As i've reported in one of the threads, i have the german BD of GoNY and it's same the same low pq as the US/UK version. Would really like to know, how the french version holds up.

'DVDRama team would have watched this movie on an old TV 36 cms? Having recently acquired the title, I can tell you that the colors are baveuses, details missing, a grain replaces video in all domestic grain film gummed by reducing noise pushed the button and no black fail to be uniform ( even at the generic end, a dark gray bands maculé gigotantes would believe that is connected to analog via the transformer rather than HDMI).
An edition shameful that opens the way for VOD, priority target market publishers seems he says.
Where is the objectivity of this critical DVDRama?
