Default PS3 and TrueHD

Well, I tried looking it up via searchm but didn't found the right in the face answer I'll need to understand.

With a PS3 and a recevier with 1.1 HDMI, will I be able to hear the TrueHD es LPCM over the receiver? Or do I need a receiver supporting HDMI 1.3? I thought the first to be given, but the last couple of posts had me worry.

Thx and have a nice day

Edit: Maybe this could be the answer:
HDMI 1.3 also adds the ability to send the undecoded lossless codec streams to a receiver.

Just found it. Sorry.

The PS3 decodes the TrueHD to PCM and then sends it to the receiver.

Thx!

Well, is there any diffenrence in the long run? If I get me a outdated HDMI 1.1 receiver and let the PS3 make the decoding, will I have any losses in the long run? Or ist it basically the same?

It basically the same. The player decoding it or the reciever.

The only question is if/when the PS3 will decode DTS-MA
