However, Kopas files a complaint, and Vince is arrested. He's being taken to court with Mafia hit man Frank Renda (Al Lettieri) when the police bus transporting them is ambushed. In the confusion, Vince drives off with the still-handcuffed Renda. He offers to return Renda if the police will let him finish harvesting his melons, but Renda escapes with help from his girlfriend, Wiley (the cooly beautiful Lee Purcell). Still in trouble with the police, Vince now has a hit man seeking revenge as well.

Mr. Majestyk pits the taciturn Bronson against the volatile Lettieri. Intricately plotted by master crime novelist Elmore Leonard, directed by veteran Richard Fleischer, and shot on location in Colorado, Mr. Majestyk is notable for its action set pieces, especially the beautifully shot and edited ambush of the police bus and the quirky machine gun assault on Vince's melons.

Great news, but only if it's better than that crappy German release.

Anyway fingered crossed for a transfer from a better master and hopefully we'll see Breakheart Pass and Chato's Land down the road as well.

The German release isn't all that crappy, it could us a a higher bitrate to help with some of the compression issues but as it stands it's pretty good.

Interested to see the results from Kino.

I want this, but how is Kino as a company? I don't own anything from them, do they do good blu-ray releases?

They're a pretty well-respected company. I own a few of their titles and I'm quite pleased with their video/audio quality. The movie is in good hands.

Very True. I Just watched this (sometime) last year, Really enjoyed it!! In some respects, not your "typical" Bronson fare, but I'm anxiously awaiting this on Blu'

Agree. The German release is fine,but not great. May have to double dip on this one!

Kino is the german word for cinema so I suspect there wil be a link with the German company that brought you "Das Gezetz bin Ich".

Agreed, it's far from "Crappy", and I'd wager all Kino is going to do is license the same master from MGM.
