Yeah, where is that movie? That one would probably be the one that I pick. Especially how its sequel showed the 80s idea of what 2015 would look like.

As much as I love John Hughes' films, the defining movie of the '80s was Purple Rain.

Cool

Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon/The Goonies/Back to the Future are my favorites but I went with The Breakfast Club cause it fit the better answer for the question.

This is hard because alot of those are my favorites. But what defined the 80's That will have to be The Breakfast Club. Basically anything with the Brat Pack in it

If I am sticking to "what defined the 80's" and not just picking out a favorite, I would have to say Karate Kid sums up the 80s for me

I'll go with Terminator, cuz it is the prime example of the big 80's action movie. But some other notable ones:

Back to the Future and Ferris Buellar's Day Off.

Possibly, but I think the original Friday the 13th has better acting than the original Nightmare. When I think of 80's movies I think of cheesy acting.

Are any of these 80's defining films making their way to Blu-ray? I would love to have ultimate additions of Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science!
