If there will be a MGS5 would you play it with no snake? even if he wasn't even involved at all, like MGS2.

It just doesn't make sense to me. When I think of MGS series I think of Snake.....I can't imagine playing without Snake.

So, yeah, Snake is important.

dont really want to comment until ive completed mgs4 :P buttt considering hes old in mgs4 i suppose it would be ok?

yeah i know MGS4 hasn't even hit yet but i was just wondering. Because even though Raiden was a freakin' geek-wad

, he really didn't ruin the game. It did feel weird though. Just askin if there was a MGS5, thats all.

You need a forth choice Yes, and as long as Kojima blesses it I do not care who plays as the main character.

Raiden was alright and was not as bad as most people took it, I can accept alot ,but the humor of mgs is very important that that remains...

Lets let MGS IV come out first, we have no idea how its going to end and if it possilby leads into a sequel.

Heres my point of view on it, the story and series can continue, however it will not be as good without Snake. It will still be a worthy story worth being told, but just not as compelling. As far as we know Solid Snake is still alive and kicking at the end of Guns of the Patriots.

Snake passing the torch in IV would be nice. Or if he survives it, he can do it in between or at the beginning of 5.

thats like making a new harrypotter movie with out radcliffe. just leave it alone and let it be done and left off where it was. onimusha for the ps2 was like this, 1-3 was the series and then they threw out dawn of dreams which was good but it really wasnt onimusha.

i think the main charcter would be fine whoever he's , what's important is the enemies and we all want ocelot to be the lmain villian , if he's not with the villian we might a hard time adjustin' the new charcters

It depends on how MGS4 ends. If they continue, they should at least drop the "Solid" part of the name as MGS4 is to end "Solid" Snake's story. They can call the game Metal Gear Whatever. The numbers dont have to matter as MGS4 is 4th Solid game but the 7th Metal Gear.

Solid Snake was simply a codename if he retired anyone could be issued that code name... so there is no reason to remove solid.

I thought the Snake we have all grown to love was specifically Solid Snake. Like Big Boss was Solidus Snake and there was also Liquid Snake. I always assumed the Solid in the title was mainly for Solid Snake. Though MGS3 was about Solidus.
