My wife say that she doen't see a different in Blu-rays and regular DVDs. She claims that it's a guy thing. That men are always suckered into buying the next generation gadgets.. I think all women think like this, therefore you won't find many on this forum..

I played Casino Royale in Standard Def., followed by a BR disk (same scene) for my girlfriend. When I told her to look at certain items and concentrate on the details, she was blown away.

There are a few. My gf is a total Blu-girl. We've had lots of fun when watching Blu-ray movies that look great and saying: Yup, Digital Crap. Or: Yup full of digital noise. Or: Yup, looks just like DVD.

My user name may not be the most feminine (), but I assure you I'm female. In fact, I remember when I was in a Best Buy on June 20th last year when Blu-ray launched, and some Samsung reps (two Japanese guys and some woman from the U.S. division) were overseeing the setup of their BD P1000 unit. I went over to check it out, and they were a bit taken aback. Said they didn't expect to see a "demographic" like mine so knowledgeable about Blu-ray.

Actually, it works to my advantage being a young blonde woman... I can take the stores by stealth. They won't blow me off I don't look like "one of those Blu-ray guys"... muahaha!
