Default Speakers That Can Be Placed Close to Back Wall

I have a system set up in a medium sized room where space is very limited. I currently use a set of Klipsch RB-5 II for left and right mains and a RB-5 II as a center. The mains are only about 10-12 inches from the back wall. The center placement is also less than ideal. I am definitely getting some bass reinforcement from having the rear ports so close to the wall. This isn't too bad for movies, but I think music really suffers. I use an Onkyo 809 for movies and a restored Magnavox 8802 tube amp for music. The tube amp needs efficient speakers as it puts out probably 6-7 watts. I enjoy the Klipsch sound, but am open to other brands. Would front ported Klipsch speakers respond better? Which speakers would be good options for placement closer to the wall? Thanks!

I'm curious if you have moved them forward any as a test to see if you hear a huge difference?

My speakers also are rear ported, and for awhile, they were close to a wall. My manufacture suggested if they are to be close to a wall, then I should plug the rear port.

Since pulling them forward, I can't say I heard a big difference, although I never put them back to compare(and sometimes that should be done, a back and forth test).

Either close or proper distance from the walls, I prefer the rear port sealed when watching movies, and removing the plug when listening to music(without the subs).

If you haven't tested out moving them yet, I would do that, and see if that makes a difference, if it doesn't make a difference, then I don't think it would make a difference buying some speakers that supposedly sound better being closer to a wall

They do seem to clear up a good bit farther from the wall.

Cornwalls would be nice but they still seem pretty large. This room is medium for a double wide trailer. By house standards it may be considered small. Along with the equipment, I also have a bed and dresser in there. It's kind of my little bit of everything room at the moment. Budget is about 1200 at this point maybe a bit more. I have also kicked around the idea of using headphones for music, but I'd like to see if there are other options. Thanks!

Professional studio monitors - that's your ticket with your room constraints! You could choose Adam speakers, Bag End M6 or MM8 monitors, or try the Emo monitors. I know the Bag End's can be placed against a wall, most studio near fields are.
