I thought it had pretty good 3D. Better than most anyways.

Totally agree, I love IMAX but not 3D but I guess theaters need to get the most buck for there bang so I hardly ever see IMAX. Was willing to see How to train your Drangon 2 in 3D IMAX but of course that's only in 3D and not 3D IMAX ...I tell ya I just can't get a break.

I don't want to accidentally read any spoilers by searching, so I will just ask. Should I watch this in 2D or 3D (RealD 3D).

Dragon 2 will be shown in IMAX 3D.

You're going to have to make up your own mind. Some people liked the 3D, some people found no use for it.

The 3D was actually pretty good, although I wouldn't say it added anything to the experience.

Personal preference is the key here, but you wont miss anything seeing it in just 2d

Did anyone else here find it a bit difficult at times to keep up with some of the shaky cam action scene's. I saw it in imax 3d but wasn't sure if it was because of the 3d or if that's just how it was. haven't seen it in 2d yet but i plan it.

Great movie. Everything I could want out of a summer sci-fi/action spectacle. Well done.

I didn't have a problem in 2D.

Oh you guys.and you're darn five star reviews fooled me . It was decent, nothing more.

I liked what I.could make out of the action, but that whole dark as heck and stupid ending was blah.

Blunt makes it better, so maybe 3.5/5!

I gotta stop buying into the hype guys here keep building up. This summer has been so mediocre.

Only if you really Love 3D movies. It was ok in parts, better in others, but really, it didn't ADD a tremendous amount either way. 2D would be fine, IMO.

Yea, & that was the reason I voted 4/5 instead of 5/5. Thankfully, it's not in Every action sequence/scene, but enough to notice

I don't have a problem keeping track of the action with shaky cam, but even if people do, that's kind of the point. Its chaos.

Maybe it's not everyone else, when it's the one lone person on the sideline.

Joking aside, a 3.5 is not mediocre rating. The way you talk about it makes it sound like 2.5 or 3, not 3.5. 3.5 is a solid film.

yeah i got fooled in the X-Men DOFP thread, i didnt get all the 5 and 4 stars for it.. I gave it a 3 maybe 3.5 with a second viewing.. but i still enjoyed that movie. a 2.5 would be average so i thought that was above average/good and it seems you thought the same about Edge of Tomorrow

Packed house at the 3:30 showing I went to. I saw it in 2D and I thought it was a pretty good movie overall. The one thing that bugged me is that majority of the character development/interactions ended up happening off screen. I get the time constraint they were working with
[Show spoiler]But giving these characters that the audience really don't connect with these epic last stands and killing them off just felt weird.

3D in Imax was great imo, the movie wasn't dark (as a lot of 3d flicks i saw turned out to be)
and crosstalk/blurriness wasn't an issue either also an issue i've noted with previous 3d/imax films

eh i guess, as i said it wasn't a big issue for me but still would have liked to have a couple of her guys in there or at least a mention

I always check the Real or Fake 3D? website to see how a film was shot first. Of course, as others have pointed out, you don't always have the option of choice if what you want to see is in IMAX as many IMAX theaters only show the 3D version.

As everyone else said. I really enjoyed this movie. Fantastic action and great comedy.

[Show spoiler]Durig the scene where Cruise and Blunt get into the car accident and it's shown Cruise got the blood transplant and lost the power. Once it's revealed This women in the theater let out a big gasp.

Plus I'm sure it's been mentioned before. But Emily Blunt. Haven't seen much of her before. But I'll check out future projects. Depending what it is. I think the only thing I've seen her in was The Five-Year Engagement and the Muppet's Movie.
