Question about 40gb PS3 Spiderman Edition

Hi everybody !

I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. First of all, I have to say that this forum rules. It's very helpfull and I'm now addicted to this place.

I'm ready to jump in the blu-ray era and after reading all the threads on this wonderfull forum, I decided to go with the PS3 for my first blu-ray player.

I want to buy the 40gb PS3 and the Spider-Man edition is still available at my local Wal-Mart (the one that comes with the movie as a bonus). My question is : is there any diffence in the harware between the Spiderman Box and the regular one ?

I'm asking because it seems that the Spiderman Box is an old version of the PS3 vs the regular one that I can get at FutureShop. And Wal-Mart is the only place around where you can still buy that special edition. Not body else caries that one.

If you wanna get a PS3 and can spend another US$100, get the MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle. You get a DualShock 3 controller, rather than the old SixAxiS, which costs US$55. You get the full version of Metal Gear Solid 4 which costs US$60. You get more HDD space, 2 more USB ports, a built-in card reader and SACD playback AS WELL AS backwards compatibility with PS2 games. I think that's a better value than a 40GB with Spidey 3 right now.
