Hey guys!
I got a copy of Spiderman 3 solely for BD for a few days ago and been tinkering with it on my Sony x3500 LCD. During the course of my session I saw blurry segments emphasised on peoples face during motion. One example being intially when Peter is watching himself on a big board amidst the city with a few kids. However, when the kids are leaving simultaneously saying "Naah, that's ok" the white boy's face seems slightly tentative and blurred out, in addtion "foggy" i'd say, is that normal? Another thing I've seen is when a swarm of people are walking faces seem a little bit blurry or kind of "left behind?" This is making me worried I've called Sony and they designated it's normal but it seem a little bit odd, in terms of performance. And right after the debut of Sandman when Peter is holding a card having MJ abruptly knocking on the door and on his way to the door his face get's slightly foggy. What do you guys think? Help me out ![]() Thanks in advance... tinkerbell |

If it's display blur, it should disappear when you pause/still the scene. If it remains then, it's motion blur, a normal photographic effect when things move. (which is even added artificially to computer generated effects to make motion look more realistic.)

As for your problem, i beleive your TV is actually causing the problem, i beleive on another forum i read, people had a problem with these TV sets & smearing, if it isn't the smearing issue i just mentioned then it is simply your settings or equipment giving you the problem Could you possibly give me a list of the equipment you are using, i assume it may be a PS3 but since you don;t mention what your using, i'd like to hear it please & maybe be able to get you a solution to your problem Also, your not the same tinkerbell from AV forums are you? As you probably already know about the smearing issue then on these sets since you posted in there |

I received the trilogy today and just finished watching the third movie. I'm happy to report that on my PS3/Pioneer system there were absolutely none of the issues reported above. The poster clearly needs one of: Lasik, a new television, or to slink back over to the HD DVD forum from whence he came.

I've been perusing various forums in an attempt to erradicate this slight subtle phenomena i've had with Spiderman 3. In addition I would like to assert that this is my initial HDTV as I've never had one before so everytime I stumble upon something that seems tentative I get the feeling that my TV is plauged with an issue or two, and I'm not blaming the movie in particular which designates i'm not some kind of troll trying to point out issues on a Blu ray movie when I clearly say i'm worried about my TV and not the movie. I made another thread in another forum and I was gently taken by the members and they highlighted me to turn off the Noisereduction on my TV which causes smearing/blurr effects etc which was enhanced since inception, however following that in particular made things alot better, but there was a slight thing which was discernable when being very interpretive but that just not normal (as I happen to be very picky) and the same person that indicated the noise reduction thing saw it too on his set which happened to be a Sony, maybe something discernable amongst Sony sets? As for the person claiming me for being a troll, it's not my intention pointing out issues solely on a movie, the fact is that I was worried about my TV being faulty, there is no indication on my initial post blaming the movie in particular. |
