Wow, I had forgotten all about this, I remember it being a bit of a let down. But I remember seeing it with a few friends, so maybe that had something to do with it. I'll definitely give it another watch when it drops to $5-8...

James Spader has managed to transform himself into a fat balding woman since this movies release.

Short of getting Angela Lansbury or Rodney Dangerfield or Lassie for the part, the miscasting could not be more complete. Keanu is profoundly wrong as a serial killer.

Ironically, I was weeding out about 20 DVDs to sell, and this was one of them. Won't be replacing it in this life.

I remember enjoying the first half when it was more cat and mouse but then it degraded fairly quickly.

Keanu was definitely miscast but I thought Spader was quite good in it. I remember reading reviews saying how they would have been better suited if they switched roles.

I may be in the minority here, but I thought it was pretty good. I thought James Spader was excellent and with this news, I can finally rid myself of the HD DVD.


Now if Universal would get off their collective [CENSORED] and release "The Getaway" with Alec Baldwin, my world will be a better place.

Truly an underrated thriller ! Plus, Keanu Reeves as the killer and not the principal actor, it was cool for once back in 00'.

At 10$, i may buy it and at amazon.ca it's only 10$ !

Hmmm. I sort of forgot this movie existed. Doubt anyone was really clamoring for a Blu-ray release. Wonder how Universal decides to release what it does. No offense intended to fans of the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy is the #1 movie of the summer. Instead of trying to capitalize on it by releasing James Gunn's first big budget movie <b>Slither</b>, we get turds that nobody remembers like The Watcher and White Noise. Great job, Universal.

Just get the Canadian disc for Slither, it's got all the dvd features and despite being only 1080i, looks beautiful. I think Slither is unforgettable, but that's just me.

EDIT/Update: My bad. I bought it a while back and it was nice and cheap. It's apparently OOP now and no longer cheap. Not sure I could say $30+ is worth it, but if you love the movie, it's either that, a couple/few Region B BD's, or the HD-DVD (then finding a player if you don't happen to have one).
