No idea whats going on.. 7.1 isnt working..
THE DTS logo shows up.. Multi-Channel 48hz 1.5mbps. Receiver is setup to multi-channel as well for the listening mode.. Any ideas? What should the setttings be on the ps3 My receiver is only showing 6 out of the 8 speakers lighting up.. not the 7.1? Last edited by Ice2Dragon; 06-03-2008 at 09:43 PM. |

PS3 should be set at PCM
You amp should show MULTICH in the front The PS3 is not compatible with all the DTS HD MA 7.1 flavor so it might now work, but at least you'll get DTS HD MA 5.1 witch is ton better than Lossy DTS 1.5mbits 48khz is the good old lossy DTS codec |

Question : When you put the PS3 in PCM mode, if you press SELECT on the PS3 controller you should see DTS HD MA 7.1 Icon in the top right? and you're light should be active on you're Onkyo showing witch speaker is working with the mention MULTICH |

Wow what a joke, marketing at it's best, Weeds in 7.1. I bet you wouldn't notice any difference if it was 2.0.
Just because it goes to "11" doesn't make it "better".... ![]() Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and... Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten? Nigel Tufnel: Exactly. Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder? Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? Marty DiBergi: I don't know. Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven. Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder. Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder? Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven. |
