GH1/2 for PS3...ever? - Blu-ray Forum

I like what MS did with GH2 when they released for the 360 (I don't agree with the price though), so I was wondering if anyone knows if the same will happen for GH1/2/both for PS3. I know they would sell at least ONE copy of that game instantly, how about others?

it will never happen......Harmonix will add songs to Rock Band if they see fit from the previous games but thats it....

that could only be a possibility if PS3 starts letting you download PS2 games for PS3 with PS3 graphics like how they did with the PS1 games they have up. but i kind of doubt Guitar Hero will make it for something like that

I was thinking that they would be fine on a PS3 BD. I don't know how big they would be to DL.

My PS3 is backward compatable. I have Guitar Hero 3 with the wireless guitar. Since my console is backwards can I play 1 and 2 with the wireless guitar?

I love the GH series, i like them all much better than rock band, but the one mess up is that unfortunately, no, you cant play GH 1 or 2 with the wireless guitar from what i have been told. ive always been curious to try it though..

Harmonix owns the base code for those games, and while they can continue to sell GH 1 and 2, they can't make new versions

They have to redo the note charts from scratch for the Neversoft engine

GH 1 can be played on a backwards compatible PS3 with a wired guitar. GH2 cannot be played on a PS3 with a wired or wireless guitar, do to some change in the programming. So when I finally get rid of my PS3 (which for now I only have for GH2) GH2 is going with it.
