Best PS3 Exclusive Titles? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm looking for some recommendations, or possibly a link that summarizes the best exclusive PS3 titles (ie, those that aren't available for the XBox 360). I recently picked up a PS3 on the Best-Buy $100GC deal, but didn't purchase any games. I did pick up Casino Royale...and OMFG, I'm going to be a BD addict now.

I played the demo of Folklore and that seems pretty cool. I might pick that one up. I'm a huge Formula 1 fan, but that racing game hasn't gotten any updates since 2006 so I don't think I'll be picking that up.

This is my first post, so if I'm putting something out there that has already been discussed, I apologize and feel free to direct me to the right place. Thanks!

Edit: Oh, and I'm aware of MSG4 being released. So that one is pretty much a given. I'm looking for currently released titles too, not stuff that is going to be released in the future.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

Uncharted is an excellent Indiana Jones-style shooter. IMO, the best game of 2007.

Gran Turismo 5:Prologue is great if you like the racing games. It's not F1 but there is an F1 car in the game. Keep in mind though, that this is like a really (and I do mean really) big demo + online play. The "real" GT5 isn't coming out until next year. For $40, this title is great to tide you over until GT5 is released.

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is a great action/adventure game

Heavenly Sword is a lot like the God of War series. Good gameplay, decent story, horribly cliche'd badguys.

I really enjoyed Heavenly Sword. It's challenging enough to stay fun to the end, has really beautiful art direction, and makes some pretty cool usage of the sixaxis control with missiles.

These are 4 must play titles for PS3. I would also squeeze Resistance in before the huge sequel comes out.

In order of how great they are

6. MLB 08: The Show - simply the most accurate baseball simulator ever made
5. Resistance: Fall of Man - despite being a launch title this title still holds up to the new stuff.
4. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - amazingly realistic racing game.
3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - amazing action/adventure/TPS/puzzle game with an awesome story.
2. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - awesomely funny, intense and cool platformer.
1. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

I love watching F1. I went to the USGP( not the bad one, thank god) a few times. I liked the Super Aguri's. What a great Canadien GP(unless you are a Räikkönen or hamilton fan). Räikkönen was very "cool" about it. I had to give a thumbs up to him. I am NOT a Ferrari fan, but do respect the team.

Rachet and clank is a pretty fun game if you like crash bandicoot type of games. I have alot of fun and so do my kids.

Resistance is a great game. Since it is old you should find pretty cheap used(can't beleive some stores still charge 60 bucks for this). People still play online

All the above would be great additions.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is just amazing. The first time I truly believe any game has actually surpassed the hype IMO.

Resistance, Drakes and Heavenly Sword are incredibly fun as well. That would be my exclusive list in that order.

Wow, thank you all for the great feedback. Looking at these, I'm thinking that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune looks like one that is right up my alley!

MGS4 seems like a given at this point. Although I've never played a MSG game, it just looks too awesome to pass up.

Uncharted is awesome! i traded it in... gonna pick it up again probably when the price drops...

own Ratchet and Clank... great game as well!

Other than I havent tried Metal Gear yet I would tend to agree with you.. if Uncharted: Drakes Fortune had any type of multiplayer online game play it would have won 2007 Game of Year easily!
