I was getting so impatient and was about to contact zavvi... but thank goodness it got here today.

The steel is in mint condition, no dents or quality control issues.

I hope rest of the upcoming zavvi steels arrive the same way.

The new packaging is pretty good and sturdy, the box itself doesn't look like much but it does it's job.

Has anyone seen that amazon, zavvi and a number of other uk retailers are taking pre orders for Life of Pi to be released on the 22nd of July 2013. Does anyone know what this is?

Doesn't say that it's a steelbook, so it's probably just a single disc release without DC and likely minus the slip.

its a bit pricey for an edition with less than the original release though. Yeah its definitely not a steel, was just curious as to what it could be.

Looks like a real nice score!! Too bad the pricing on the rest of the seller's "supposed" steelbook sell-off is rather weak.

One of the nicest steels I've ever seen front and back, lenticular card looks super slick behind a protective sleeve and the film itself is great too. Enjoy.

This film ended up being stunning! I love it!

So glad I got the steel! Can't believe how rubbish the trailer looked in the cinema... Dredd suffered a similar fate...
