A. These types of cheating devices will not normally work on the PS3.. not sure about the backwards compatbility, but I know PS3 basically shut down these systems in a couple methods.

.. These normally work by changing on board cache game randomally (by inputting some code) and that change in on board memory affects the game... well on PS3.. this is the first sytem to encrypt/protect the on board memory and cache, so it cannot be changed by these systems.. so they will not work.. It adds overheard to the PS3 and on-board memory which is why no other home system has done this to date, but it effectivley makes third party cheating devices extinct.. at least how they work now...

So sorry, if you want to cheat on Socom, you got to go back to your PS2, cheater.

Its my PS1 Codebreaker I want to get to work. It was the last cheating device I ever bought.

Possibly a scratched disc.

It's strange but I always keep my games/movies in pristine condition, yet I had to buy 2 Region-Free discs for my PS3 (Swap disc so you can play any region DVD on your PS2), yet they both seemed to get incredibly scratched over time even with taking care of them!
