Default Audio through TV was fine, Until I went to Blu-ray.com!

I am officially annoyed now that I have no audio except through my TV speakers to watch movies.

You guys have convinced me that I need some mega audio work done to my house. Where do I start?

I have a PS3, and am connected through HDMI.

Where do I start, and how much is this going to cost me?

I'd suggest one of these.....

http://www.webstaurantstore.com/imag...ItemID=40710IC

Insert Into one ear.... then the next.... Very Cheap, and it'll save you ten's of thousands of dollars on audio gear over the years.....

If you DO decide to go the audio route.... then what budget would you set? (what's it worth to not go to plan "B" )

You absolutely, will not regret it. It is has been worth every penny I have spent. To see my wife smile when the room shakes because she can "feel" an explosion is awesome. What are you trying to achieve?

If you have a PS3 and you don't want to spend a fortune, I'd suggest the receiver in my sig and then look for a speaker package from Bose, Yamaha or Polk Audio.

Since the PS3 will output DTS-HD/HD-MA and Dolby True-HD only as multi-channel LPCM through HDMI, a receiver like the SONY STRDG720 would be a good match as it will accept multi-channel LPCM. A receiver that decodes DTS-HD/HD-MA or Dolby True-HD would be overkill for a PS3.

I am happy with it and I even listen to my HD cable through the receiver. The :Stadium" mode make soccer games sound like you are sitting in the stands with a live announcer.

onkyo 605 or 606 best receiver for the money, you may not need internal decoding but its still more future proof than other budget model receivers and only carries a $385 price tag from amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR606...3852319&sr=1-3

get you a nice set of polks. Monitor 50's for the front, 30's for the rear, CS1 for the center and a PSW10 sub. You can get them all on amazon receiver and all speakers for $998 shipped. granted you would still need speaker cable and such. but that would sound great and would be everything you would need for pretty cheap. if you look at the picture in my sig thats pretty close to what im running. Im just using monitor 40 bookshelf polks which are essentially the same as 50's.

I'd agree, except for the Bose recommendation.
