I have the option to buy a new Sony 510 receiver for 75$ or a Harmon kardon 247 for 275$. I have a Sony XBR4 40 inch tv to run this receiver. Which would you choose and why. thanks for you input new to the game of Blu and HDMI receivers. B-

I would say the HK, but be aware that it applies upscaling (and not so great upscaling) to SD sources that cannot be turned off. If you're using the PS3 for DVD's then they're upscaled to 1080p (or whatever your case may be) and it doesn't matter since the 247 will just pass it through, but if for whatever reason you'll want to have a separate DVD player, my mother in law has one and her DVDs look like crap when compared to running the player straight to the TV.
