You trash can should have it unless you emptied that.
If you did, Mac is easy. It should have a utility built in to retrieve deleted files.

Number one thing though, dont save anything else. The way you recover is the information is still there, the registary was just deleted. It does not go away until it gets written over.

So, If you cant recover it using the built in utility (check you manual or google) you can use a program from the internet to get it back ( I think Kim Kammando or some shit has it on her site free)

mmmm. If you don't write other stuff to the HD in the meantime, it's still there (so don't start Dowloading youTube videos or creating lots of documents/files) just use any utility to recover trashed files. BUT, because of that, don't dowload the utility or save it to the HD first, if you don't have one on your Mac's HD already! Download the utility directly to an external drive and/or use it directly from the external drive or CD/DVD player.

Good luck

Try File Savage.

Doubt you will find anything free and I do not believe Disc Utility has anything built in for this. Maybe FS has a demo you can try.

I was under the impression that on a MAC if you dump your trash in this manner, its gone for good regardless of time machine, OS, recovery aps, etc.
