Amazon release date on FF XIII - Blu-ray Forum

Just a second ago, I was on Amazon.com looking for the release date on FF XIII and it said the release date was Dec. 13, 2008. Does anyone have info if this is correct?

Squenix has yet to mention any release date and given the lack of any gameplay being shown (just trailers) even at their upcoming show, most people believe FF13 is a mid-to-late 09 release at best.

I've seen that date on Amazon as well but it's likely just another one of those pie-in-the-sky placeholder dates retailers often use.

It's only a very -very- faint hope, but one might think that Sony keeping two (supposedly big) titles unnanounced for 2008, and Square having recently put their FFXIII VS team back on FFXIII to accelerate development, might mean some good news.

I guess we will only know for sure at E3

Somehow, I sort of doubt it though

Amazon puts out the farthest date for the 4th quarter of sales so they can project preorder sales for it....they have always done that...I wouldn't hold my breath for that date...its just to make more people preorder it...

mid-to-late 09?!?! Damn, thats a long time. I guess Squenix wants it to be perfect without any flaws or bugs. I do know there's going to be a demo but the release date is unknown.

That will most likely be for FFXIII Versus.
