Default blu-ray release delays

Does anyone know why they keep postponing release dates. I am ready to purchase a blu-ray player but the movies I am waiting for keep getting post-poned (i.e. a few good men, out of time, etc.)

Also, when will they start releasing classic films from the 50's and 60's on blu-ray, I would think they would look awesom?

Regular dvd's played on blu-ray look grainy to me, so I am sure that blu-ray versions would look much better.

Warner Brothers has released a number of older tiltles from the '60 and 70's. Bullitt, Battle of the Bulge, The Outsiders, Dog Day Afternoon etc.

Fox Studios delayed their releases apparently due to the hacking of films.

Ive been waiting for A Few Good Men too Its because of the security problem they're having. I think... Once they get everything sorted out there will be a plethora (abundance) of new releases.

oh and also....YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!...yea I said it...

What delays? There are more movies available on Blu-ray than HD DVD.

Many films, including Ronin, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and Princess Bride have been announced and subsequently dropped from the upcoming lists.

It's truly sad that a gimped format like HDDVD with minimal studio support has more pre-orders available right now compared to Blu-ray. This is truly pathetic.

But, we should all know why that is by now. Don't expect miracles in the business world. I'm sure they are moving as fast as they can. Pre-orders can't be played in one's player. Just because we don't know about them 3 months in advance doesn't mean they are not coming. Blu-ray still has more titles available even with slow studio output and 2 missing studios from the release palet!
