Odd that this isn't a Warner Archive movie, it is less popular than every movie they've released under the archive banner.

Still in the vault probably, I know there is/was an HD version on Amazon that looked pretty good, so if it does get released it I think most people should be pleased by the PQ.... note I said most....

I certainly hope they were able to scan original VistaVision elements rather than just a regular 35mm release print. If it looks anything close to the quality of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, WHITE CHRISTMAS, TO CATCH A THIEF, THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY, and some of the other VistaVision titles, it should really be spectacular in HD!

I also wonder whether it will be mono, re-processed for stereo, or a recreation of the original Perspecta stereo sound.

Really looking forward to it, in any case!

I had a feeling this would be the next Hepburn film to come out. Like many I would rather have Roman Holiday because War and Peace is one dull clunker! It can't be too long now until Roman Holiday...Right...Right!?!?

Already pre-ordered. I believe War and Peace is a steal at 10.48. Perhaps there will be an announcement in the near future concerning Roman Holiday.
